What We Collect

• Account info: Email address, username, display name, profile photo
• Content: Photos you post (drink photos and selfies), captions, comments, and reactions
• Location: Your location when you create a post (used for venue tagging). Location is only accessed when you actively post, not in the background.
• Drink data: Types and counts of drinks you log
• Device info: Push notification token (if you enable notifications)

How We Use It

• To show your posts to your friends and their posts to you
• To tag venues on your posts
• To track your drink history and display your contribution grid
• To send you notifications (friend requests, reminders)
• We do not sell your data to third parties

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Photos are stored in secure cloud storage. All connections use HTTPS encryption.

Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. Your posts are only visible to your accepted friends within the app.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account). This permanently removes all your data including posts, photos, and profile information.

Children

BeerReal is not intended for users under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
